Since 1987, Borneo Adventure has been working with communities in the upper Ai River, promoting tourism that supports local communities and advocates conservation. Through this partnership, communities have been brought out of poverty, areas of orang utan habitat have been protected and women have been involved in the workforce. Their experience provides a model for sustainable and responsible tourism in Sarawak.
