Reina graduated with a Bachelor's in Business Management, majoring in Marketing- Management at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines in 1994. She earned her master’s degree in Business Administration from the Graduate School of the Camarines Norte State College. She is currently taking her post-graduate Doctor in Business Administration studies at the PUP Graduate School of Studies in Sta. Mesa, Manila.

Presently, she is affiliated with the Camarines Norte State College- Business Administration Department as regular faculty and a researcher. As doing research is her interest and passion, she authored and presented numerous internally funded research to different local and international research conferences. Currently, she is the Research Coordinator of the College of Business and Public Administration and the Organization Adviser of the Junior Peoples Management Association of the Philippines (JPMAP) CNSC Chapter and the non-academic organization of CNSC-Eco Green Youth Association (CNSC-EGYA).
