Kyaw graduated with a bachelor degree in English from the Taunggyi University, Myanmar and continued to do his post graduate diploma in Geography (tourism) at Yangon University, Myanmar.

He is the board member of Responsible Tourism Institute and the National Technical Expert at GIZ - Private Sector Development (Tourism Value Chain), Myanmar.

His research interests include: tourism consumption trends in the region; focusing on the domestic market.
