Ligarmae is writing her dissertation for her Doctor of Philosophy in International Hospitality and Tourism Management at the Lyceum of the Philippines Batangas. She is affiliated with Iloilo Science and Technology University Barotac Nuevo Campus handling Tourism courses and foreign languages.

With her research engagement, she has been involved in one of the coffee tables of Antique’s Livelihood conducted by her previous university and supported by the provincial government. She has been involved in many community services related to the Hospitality and Tourism industry. She was also the International Program Coordinator of the University of Antique Tibiao Campus for three years.
